Regina's style ranges from Impressionism to abstracts and beyond

For more than twenty-five years,
Regina Marscheider
has been wowing audiences with her handcrafted casts of hundreds from
the smallest of finger puppets and marionettes to life-size walking
masterpieces. As Director of
Spectrum Puppets,
Regina has been producing, directing, and designing her world-class
originals with a performance history that includes appearances on
The Today Show,
The Late Show with Joan Rivers
and
The Dr. Laura Show.
On a more serious note, Regina’s passion lies with children who are
exploited and bullied.
In
1984 Regina started the
Children’s Performance Workshops, a non-profit
organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for our
children.
She tours
elementary schools throughout the United States and Canada with her Emmy
award winning child abuse prevention program,
“Simon Says…Just Tell”
This is a marionette show that teaches young children how to recognize,
avoid and disclose sexual abuse.
“Simon”, the main character in the show lives in the hearts of
children everywhere and has become a loving symbol for children’s
rights.
Having performed
for more than 2.5 million children, Regina has already empowered a huge
segment of our society to help stop the cycle of abuse.
Just in Hampton Roads, VA, 143 arrests and thousands of criminal
charges as well as thousands of cases of prevention have been directly
attributed to her program. Her dear friend, mentor and world class artist, Renata Keep, gave her the precious gift of learning to paint in oils. A quick study, Regina has made the transition from sculpting and creating puppets to producing wonderful works of art on canvas. Proceeds from the sale of Regina's paintings will go towards continuing her work fighting child abuse. |
